Hiwi The Kiwi

Interested in fishing? Well today I am gonna talk about learning safety on New Zealand water. Did you know that plastic’s that humans make can hurt the Black Petrels, so lets SOS (Save Our Seabirds). You don't want to catch seabird do you? Well pick up the waste at a beach put it into your pocket take it home and put it in the bin. Fishing for the future is thinking about other people when you are fishing and leaving some sealife for the future crowd. Here are some more things to check when catching fish. When fishing meauresing fish, always measure from the middle of the fishes tail to the its nose, this way you can see if the fish not to full size.when handling with fish always use a fish ruler.
Do you know how to pick up a fish properly? Well when you pick up a fish it’s always first-rate to pick up a wet towel or to wet your hands. When you have caught a salt fish wash it with salt water for fresher results. As you freeze the salt water fish put it in salt water ice not fresh water as it will rot easier.
Safety is a very important thing when your on water.Always wear a life jacket when in a boat,Kayak, canoe or simply just on a paddle board. When on a floating object checking for hazards is a tremendous thing, big logs, Littles boats or swimmers can get in the way from ships.
These have been the ways of staying safe on New Zealand waters.

Feeling Calm

Friday 10th May 2019
Feeling calm Have you ever been so stressed that you want to wreak and smash things, your heavily breathing or screaming at someone? Here are some ways that you can feel calm.Firstly, Go to kit kat face the wall then flip the timer.Think about your happy place is it bedtime, eating or watching your favourtie show on tv? When you know your calm your not screaming at everyone or wanting to smash or wreak and you're breathing softly.
Why is being calm so important? Being calm is an important thing because being angry all the time isn’t great for your health,If you always have a rapid heart rate, increasing heat in your neck and head and/or grinding teeth isn’t so amazing. Another reason why being calm is important, so you don’t hurt the people around you.
What can “set” you off? The little things can set you off like someone touching something that’s yours chromebook, pencil or simply yourself. Trying to stay calm when someone touches something can sometimes make it worse than what it already is. What are some ways to feel calm at home? You could face the wall, look out the window or run around to get out all the energy.
These are ways of feeling calm.

Bot

Kalahz Papakura 9/4/19 Board Of Trustees Papakura Central School Dear Board Of Trustees I would like to thank the BOT for the 2 new tremendous TV’s in the Kauri hub and the rest of the school classes. These TV’s have less wires and things that hang from the side. Now our learning technology is modern, the teachers can now sit anywhere in the class and not stand half-way into the TV screen. We can see the TV screen from a long distance away. The TV’s are lighter than the older TV’s. These TV’s have smaller wheels than the more ancient one’s. The teachers are able to go on hapara and see what the students are doing in a clearer way. These TV’s are able to level to a higher or lower elevation. The teacher also love to play and listen to funky cool music on these screen’s. I appreciate the funding you have raised for our TV’s that everybody loves. Kind and warm regards Kalahz
